About Zelda Welgemoed

From childhood I have always had an eye for natural beauty and wanted to capture it to show everybody. I used to do a lot of drawing and painting as a child, but somehow enjoyed it more to use my colours on the beautiful women on the cover of my mothers' old magazines to enhance the picture. I decided to officially start with my portfolio in 2008 and was shooting with a very limited Canon Powershot Pro1. Even with that, I attracted considerable fan attention and from there things have just gone from strength to strength. As a photographer I don't believe that you can ever stop learning about your skills and the abilities you possess when it comes to letting go whilst getting creative. I realised that I wanted to share this joy with beginner photographers and thus started my classes. I have found no greater joy than to pass on my knowledge to others, fueling the passion that gives them sleepless nights caused by their excitement and eagerness to get back to their camera and editing their work.
