I bet that if the best photographer here on MB advertises shoots for R10 he will more than likely get zero responses.
I strongly disagree! And not just for the fact that it is R10.
But if a great tog offers a REALLY good deal! I WILL take it.
For example: I don't really pay for much, I have photographers which I can gladly go to when I need something and they will help out, in return, they also know that when asking for my help for a project, I wouldn't go...ok wel... $$$ - this comes with establishing good relationships.
There is a few VERY good photographers I wouldn't mind working with (but I wouldn't go asking for TFCD - unless they offer it for a project then I would be MORE than willing to help out). But I am not paying R2500 for a set of photos, not because I don't like to pay.... But because I do not need a complete portfolio. I need "add-ons" from time to time. And for the rest of the time, TFCD fills some gaps (the only problem then is that it is not always what my port needs), so in saying this, my port basically builds itself up in phases....and when I need something done specifically, i call on those that can help, or I pay those i feel comfortable with in helping in the specific genre. |
