somewhat true but I have had many great results where the model is excellent at MU and has a great young clean face, give me a good face with no MU any day over a bad face with great MU.

Huh? Sure there is but that's not the issue here. What I was trying to illustrate is that a MUA is not make or break of a shoot.

Here's a suggestion. If you can't afford big lights, but still need it, the Godox range seems legit enough and doesn't kill you with the price tag. I saw a cool video on it here:
