Hi to all. My Sigma 18-125mm lens is giving problems - all images looks fine until you view it 1:1 - then you can see that it is out of focus. Tried it on 3 cameras and every time the same result - lens faulty, not camera or TOG.

Took it to a repair man who said that nobody in RSA would be able to fix this problem - lens needs to be calibrated on a computer...???

Any advise on how to get the lens fixed?

Hi, Thanx for the lead - I will contact them as well.

I bought the lens second hand - not a wise choice, as I already had to have the flexi-board replaced.

O, btw - I am situated in the West Rand.

Dont quote me here, but I did hear a story some time back, that they may have branches elsewhere. Their site mentions DBN only, but maybe give them a call and just ask.

The only other suggestion, would be to maybe speak to the guys from the ODP store... They may know of some other contacts?

Sigma has an agency in SA - Tudor Photographic. I'm pretty sure that lens calibration is possible in SA :) I just had a Nikon 20-35mm dismantled, cleaned and re-assembled - I'm sure the technician must have calibrated it after all of that....
