Hi guys & gals,

This morning i was doing a shoot in Long street at a fashion retailer and someone sneaked in and sneaked out with my Tamrac camera bag at around 11am - black and grey with the following items inside:

Nikon D7000,
Nikon 50mm F1.8 lens,
Nikon 55 - 200mm f3.5 lens,
Sigma 17 - 35 f2.8 lens,
2 x teleconverter - kenko
2 x 4Gig CF cards,
1 x 2Gig Cf Card,
3 x 1 Gig CF cards,
67mm UV filter,

Please let me know if you come across any of these items anywhere (pawn shops/gumtree/olx) and let me know.

The 'customers' in the shop around that time was a blonde lady and someone (brunette girl) who looked like her daughter and a couple.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry to hear about that Lynn and I hope you are successful in either getting your stuff back or getting it replaced by insurance.

you can try this:

URL (give it a few days/weeks)

and list your equipment with Cash Crusaders (others have similar links), here:
URL

good luck, you will need it in recovering your equipment.

So, a haul of "approximately R300 000" worth of stolen equipment is made yesterday, and our 50mm at least we know is amongst this lot.

What is immensely frustrating is that the guy who spent last night in SAPS accomodation, is well-known as a supplier to photographers. He even has profiles on ODP and what-not.

The most interesting development though, is the photographer who called the complainant who tracked down the above stellar gent, and pleaded that he not be reported to the cops because " he's a great guy, and it will really hurt his business" I'm not sure that I can adequately express my thoughts about this long-time photographer.

Anyway guys, at least 7 "white lenses" and some 1Ds bodies are amongst the loot.
Inbox for details of the investigating officer

OMG that is disgusting stuff. So he is a "photographer" then who is selling stolen goods.

Mark, the dude who was arrested yesterday, like the oke who was arrested earlier today, seem to be "photographic equipment suppliers"and not togs as such.
