Haha; just figured out what OP stands for *blush*.

I want to sell prints and so therefore want to pay people (pro or amateur) for their time and just needed to know when to pay them from.

Bottom line: it starts when everyone agrees it starts.

When it should tart, is supposed to start, where we want it to start, if it starts, is all bullshit. It starts when we all agree and say so.

I think what Gerry is trying to say is that we all akcnowledge that there is an accepted industry norm, however, this can be varied by agreement.

In short, nothing is cast in stone.

However, to answer the question above properly. The clock (traditionally) starts at 1 second past 12.
