Models required for shoot

Hi there Models, Were looking for a few models for a shoot on the 24th of August. We have arranged for an amazing hair and MUA to join us for the shoot, as well as for all the props. It is an amazing concept that we need other models to make happen.

The models we require do NOT need to be af a particular height or of a particular build, we will review some of your work that you have published and will let you know if you are what we are looking for...

The shoot will cost you approximately R250 and you will receive you'r images, the tog will be editing some, and we will be creating a digital calender for next year with the best images. There will be a group shoot as well as individual shoots according to the theme...

We are trying to keep the theme private and only among those participating to minimize it being replicated...

Just a couple of questions, if YOU need models for YOUR concept:

Then shouldnt you be paying the models and not them paying you?

How can you expect models to buy into a theme if they dont know what it is or if it is suited for their portfolio?
Also R250 for hair make up, props and edits doesnt say too much about quality.. please will you specify the tog and make up artist.

Unfortunately as I am also just a model trying to further my portfolio I can not pay the models. I have arranged for the photographer do the shoot on a TFCD basis, however the MUA can not be expected to use her products for free for free...

Then Debbie, what you have here is a failure to communicate. No one, including me, will have a problem if you said that first – "hey, we're doing a shoot, TF, but the MU lady wants some moolah.". That way we know what we are paying for!

And yeah, it's a bit strange that someone's 1st post is about sales. It has a history on MB of people being fly-by-nighters and chancers, no one takes them seriously. Sit down. Relax. Have a beer. Make yourself known. Get to know the people and the place. Have a laugh. Then sell.

Debbie has been on MB for months now, just because she have work to do during the day and not talk to you everyday does not mean anything.

To be honnest, I would rather shoot with Deb and not with you. And you been here for ages. But not to be to harse, she is better looking. :)

So maybe you (and I) that are here everyday must stop relaxing, have less beer and start shooting - just maybe you will be able to sell something at stock. Then you can stop complaining about togs undermining your price.

Carla, a good healthy diet consists out of small, but REGULAR portions. Much better than few big meals a day.

The reason I was upset about what was said above was because here I am, a model, trying to help other fellow models out with an upcoming shoot. There is no mention of "if you dont..." or "you have to..." so if it does not appeal to you then please do not respond to the post. This was simply an invitation for other models to join on an exciting shoot whereby they would be able to inexpensively have a great time as well as further their modeling portfolio safely and inexpensively as well as professionally. However it feels like this opportunity that I have made available for others was simply slapped back in my face.

If you feel like I, as a model, am not creditable due to my lack of 'activity' on MB, and that my post seems strange due to it being my first post here on the forum then please feel free to visit my OFFICIAL website whereby a FULL LIST OF REFERENCE to photographers are listed, please also then contact them to see if I am a dodgy person! There's a lot of fly by-nighters here, there's a lot of scammers and bullshit artists. There's a lot of people here making a quick buck at the expense of others.

Your intentions are noble, I have no doubt about it, and your references, which you put up only 4 posts later, are great! Now we know who you are and where you come from. Nullo impedimento! But at your very 1st post all you did was sell a product. You looked to all the world like one of a thousand scammers and bullshit artists we've seen on here. The more you spoke, the clearer it has become what it is you are selling, why, and what your credentials are. If you put all that up in your 1st post, we would not be having this discussion.

So again – its not personal – it's a standard response to a typical first-poster selling something and then disappearing. We've dealt with tons of these guys. You fit the mould – but in your last post, you have broken free of that mould. Now we know who you are, now we're more comfortable. Apologies if I came across harsh, but that's just cynical, bitter experience.

It is no wonder models don't post here often :(
