Listen: let the guy be. He is not breaking any laws, he is not undercutting, he is delivering a product that people want to pay for. Simple as that. Whether WE think his quality sucks or not is immaterial.

In business, the guy with the most money wins. There's your bottom line.

Dayle: if photography was regulated TODAY, if you needed to have a formal qualification in order to be a photographer – how many of us would then be here? I know of a few people who suck who would be in business, and a few brilliant photographers who would be out of a job.

At least try and improve with each shoot you do.

Gerry so your saying I wasted my time? I am even in the process off applying for membership with SAFREA in order to get a bit more cred, which is costing me more than I would like to.

So I should have just bought myself a "mik & druk" and charged a shit load?

NOW!!!!! I get told this. Stupid me and trying to actully produce something of quality.

Christo - do you want to make money or do you want to create art? in 95% of the cases, the two are mutually exclusive.

Now you know why I'm poor - I value quality above money. Other people dont - and they are coining it - as has been demonstrated ad nauseum.

I don't like it, Christo, but that does not change the reality.

R5000 for 2000 pics = masochism. He wont last long at that rate.

However: he has R5 000. I don't.

2000 pics per shoot. Call it a 4 hour shoot. Thats 240 minutes. 14 400 seconds. Thats one shot every 7.2 seconds. Take into account wardrobe changes - make it a 3 hour shoot then - thats one shot every 5 seconds.

Damn, this guy is good!

How DO people do that?? I dont let any photo leave my machine without it being photoshopped. If I have to photoshop 1000 images, I'll work for a year on one shoot.

Different strokes for different folks... This guy does no editing for clients, it is an extra, as it should be in my opinion.

Try shooting it right. Then PS isn't required ;)

Levels, curves, skin smoothing and my "secret weapon" will ALWAYS be done. Try editing your pics, it really pushes up your quality.

Them be fighting words. For the majority of my work, my pics are delivered straight out of cam due to deliverables. Clients have never complained about the quality. EVER.

Even the catalogue work was delivered SOOC. Pulled back exposure by .5 stop on 5 out of +-200 pics. The rest were perfect to international standard, as well as published.

Compare above to your 'process' and then make your statement. Not all shoots require PS (not EDITING, but PhotoShop). Also, agencies and magazines prefer the skin to look normal rather than smoothed. Ultimately, it's personal preference at the end of the day and to each his/her own.

We all have different styles and techniques. Doesn't mean you have to like mine, nor do I have to like yours.
But we all strive for quality.
