Networking Opportunity: PE Fashion for the aspiring artist

I desire to shoot artistic and extravagant fashion photos over the next year, however I'm lacking access to enough people to allow me to do this. These would include:

- Models
- Fashion Designers,
- Make Up artists,
- Hair Stylist and,
- Jewellery designers

If you're interested or know anyone that would be interested in showcasing their abilities and/or work in these specific disciplines please either forward their contact details or give them my contact details.

When I've gathered enough interested parties to make something like this possible, I would like to organise a couple of planning/strategy meetings where we can collaborate. These shoots will not be once off, there are different styles and moods I'd like to experiment with and every shoot must be planned in detail to ensure that it's not just another meagre attempt. These shoots will probably occur once to twice a month as a lot of pre-planning and organisation will go into the event and every event will require different contributors that suit the specific style for the specific event.

Every person that had a contribution to each event will be credited for their work and supplied with a disk of the processed images for their effort and time (TFCD)

If enough persons show interest I will create an online location for centralised discussions and collaboration.

Kathleen is a fashion designer... Im sure she has some work to show off or knows other ppl who would be keen.

I will model for u if you want... I dont know any MUAs or J Designers

Thanks for opting in Mat. This whole idea started the other night while I was looking at Kathleen's design pics on her FB profile and loved her work. I initially typed this "letter" for her but then creativity set in and I realised there is so much hidden stars and potential in PE that just never gets the exposure and recognition deserved.

Henceforth I'm on a mission to change this and to put this place and it's people on the map. We can definitely learn from the success achieved through proper networking and collaboration by the people in Gangsters Paradise.

Thanks for all the positive input and responses so far. I'm definitely at the networking day this weekend and open for any type of input.

The two suggested Jewellers both showed a keen response to participate, let's pull in more people please. Next time you walk into or past a hair salon, jewellery store have a talk to them and take their details. If you don't feel like punting this collaboration just pass their details to me and I'll contact them.

Marius, Collaboration is all about working together and sharing intellectual resources. So yes, I will be inviting other photographers for the shoots.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late response as I was out all day. Welcome Chwitza, I'm glad to see another model showing interest. So far we have a fair head-start on interested togs, models and the added bonus of two jewellers showing interest. I'm still in serious need of obtaining fashion designers, MUA's and one or two more Jewellers.

I'm unfortunately flogged with critical work that I need to complete over the next 10 days, I will however, when these tasks are finished, go scouting for the missing ingredients.

Will keep everyone posted on the progress of this project. Once I have gathered all the required artist I will begin to organise the first planning meeting so we can iron out the technicalities and plan the first shoot.
