Current Projects:
A research project entitled “Cultural Conceptions of Life after Death” was launched in April 2008. A public screening of the research film and a talk about the project was presented at the University of South Africa on 19 June 2008.
Recruited the 2008 South African Archaeological Excavation Team for excavations in Israel - The Dor Archaeological Project and planning for the 2009 adventure to Israel and Jordan has begun.

The publication of 9 issues of the journal entitled Voyage of the Planet™ Magazine.
Producing and directing documentary films with diverse topics which include: the endangered mountain gorillas of Uganda, the rainforest Pygmies, the archaeological excavation of the ancient city of Dor in the Middle East, ancient tombs in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt and the Doornbult Concentration Camp from the Anglo Boer War of 1899 - 1902.
Co-anchor of a weekly radio program which was aired for nine months on national radio in South Africa, 102.7 Classic fM.
Host on a weekly TV show on iTV Foundation (broadcasted throughout the African continent and other limited countries on DSTV). During the program Johnathan discusses interesting topics based on his articles, films and world travels.
Key note speaker at numerous events and functions including a series of magazine events hosted at the Origins Centre Museum at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Guest on a number of radio programs including Radio Lowveld, Cape Talk, 702 Talk Radio, Radio Veritas, East Rand Radio and Radio Pretoria.

Recruited the 2006, 2007 and 2008 South African Archaeological Team who participated in the excavations of the ancient Phoenician harbour city of Dor - the Tel Dor Archaeological Project in Israel.
