About Luminary

Hello, my name is Samantha Laura Kaye and this is my modelbook profile as a makeup artist. I am also a model, which allows me to help girls with their posing and confidence.

I am based in Cape Town, however am spending Cape Town's winter of 2011 modeling and doing hair and makeup abroad.

My Make-up History:
Initially a fine artist working with oils and acrylics I began to dabble in makeup at the age of 16. After sneaking off to study make-up at night (pretending to be an academic during the day) I started working for MAC cosmetics as a retail artist at the age of 20 and began working with amateur photographers. The spiderweb began and I now have a wonderful assortment of assignments I've played with. . . As far as work preference goes... I enjoy the creative wacky playful side of things.... but more than that - I enjoy a job well done and can be a little bit of a perfectionist at times.

Working on FTV fashion shows has given me lessons on working quickly and under pressure
