About B T Photography

Howdy peeps! I am an aspiring photographer who started out doing landscape photography and was introduced to fashion,glamour and portraiture through a professional photographer friend.Needless to say, I loved it so much that I started doing less landscape and more of the above.I have still got alot to learn in terms of the inner workings of a shoot but then again do we ever stop learning?. I am a very easy going person and will always take input/opinions of others .I always give you my full attention and conduct myself in a professional manner .I took a bit of a break since 2009 as I needed to focus on my family and put all hobbies and interests aside.Since then I have had alot of time to reflect on my photography and what I would like to achieve from it.I love to just grab a subject,camera and reflector sometimes so that I can improve my lighting knowledge but I do realise I have other areas that I need to work on.The aspects that I think need more work :subject emotion,subject posing,lighting(always),organising and I always want to improve my camera technique and I would like to focus on getting as much as possible correct in-camera than I have in the past.I have been converted into a strobist(tired of luggin' those monolithic studio lights around) -I love to be agile/mobile so this suits my love for ambient and fill in flash combo for outdoor. I need to get back into the swing of things and I hope to be working with you soon.Please mail me if you are interested in a shoot and we can discuss the options available to us i.e.Lighting,theme,location,makeup,props,atmosphere,styling & hair.Concepts I lack or would like to do more of in my porti are beauty shots,themed shoots,fashion stories,lifestyle,portraiture and more fashion themes shot within a landscape format, capturing the surrounding area to support the clothing and model.
