About Hein Lass

I have been involved with photography since the age of 16. I am a mechanical engineer and a director of a mining company and photography is purely to satisfy my artistic passions and to stay sane in an increasingly dog-eat-dog commercial world.
My passion is the ancient mythical goddesses in modern settings. I shoot exclusively on location using natural light and find studios with artificial light setups sterile and boring. Although I do not practise photography for commercial purposes, I have done the odd CD cover and magazine add. I am part time lecturer in available light photography at a photography school in Pretoria. Models interested in artistic projects can also look at my personal website (just Google me).

I also have the honour of pissing off square old tannies and scare klooster koek models with my subject matter, so be aware!
