About U1Photography

U1-photography (U1=Johan) is my name.... I stay in wonderful South Africa in a city called Klerksdorp the oldest city in this part of the country. My love for photography started when I got my first camera as a gift when I was 13yrs old. I started doing some serious photography in my first year at University.

Those days I used to do portraits of all my fellow students and make enlargements. Everything was done in the darkroom on B&W. For many years I only took the odd special photo but a few years ago the whole thing gripped me again and started to take photography serious again.

In 2005 this brought me back to varsity, and this time to the Potchefstroom University where I started with a course in photography.

This is my passion and serious hobby? I live, breath, feel every aspect of this art. I\'m filled with extreme inspiration with limitless ideas.

I am always looking to find models to help me create. I am open to ANY style of photography! Male or female, fit or not fit, all welcome. I believe there is something special in everyone and as a photographer I will find it!
I love using old abandoned buildings as outdoor studio with natural light. I also have my own studio at home. I prefer portrait, fashion and artistic nude photography.

SERIOUS TFP/CD are welcome. I do not pay models at this time.
